What this tool does
This tool lists H1–H6 headings in source order and counts primary headings. It helps you read the outline a document exposes, separate from typography.
How to use it
Enter the final page URL. Read the extracted heading list. Check that the main topic and subsections make sense. Review whether headings are descriptive for readers.
Why it matters
Heading structure makes long pages easier to navigate and can clarify the relationship between sections. A visually large element is not necessarily a semantic heading.
Example
An H1 named “Services” followed by H2 sections such as “Emergency plumbing” and “Drain cleaning” communicates a clearer outline than repeated headings named “Learn more.”
Understanding the result
The primary-heading check uses exactly one H1 as an editorial convention. Other heading levels appear in extracted data for manual review.
Limitations
One H1 is not an absolute search-engine requirement. Source order may differ from a dynamically rendered interface. Hierarchy is exposed, not fully validated automatically.
