This check finds image elements and reports whether each has an alt attribute. Missing attributes and intentionally empty alternatives are shown distinctly in extracted data.
How to use it
Enter the public page URL. Inspect the missing-alt count. Review each image in its surrounding context. Write alternatives for informative images and empty alt for decoration.
Why it matters
Alternative text communicates an image’s useful purpose when the image cannot be seen. It should not become a container for repeated keywords.
Example
A decorative border image can correctly use alt="". A chart showing sales by month needs a meaningful description and may need a nearby data table.
Understanding the result
A passed check means no img element lacked an alt attribute. It does not mean every alternative is appropriate or sufficiently descriptive.
Limitations
CSS background images, JavaScript-inserted images and the factual quality of alt text are not assessed.

Does this guarantee search visibility?
No. This tool reviews the supplied evidence. Search engines and AI systems make independent selection decisions.
Is my input stored?
