Meta Description Length Checker
Meta Description Length Checker: Measure Unicode character length and browser-rendered text width in Arial. Search-result truncation is not guaranteed by a fixed length.
What this tool does
Count characters in supplied snippet text and, for pixel tools, measure the text with a specified browser font. Measurements are practical preview aids.
How to use it
Paste the title or description. Run measurement. Review the character count and any measured font/width. Check the snippet at the intended device size and preserve useful meaning.
Why it matters
A width estimate can expose unusually long text, but cutting words to an arbitrary limit may make a result less informative.
Example
A title made of wide letters can occupy more pixels than one with the same character count made of narrow letters.
Understanding the result
Pixel values come from the browser canvas and the reported font size. They are not the exact width used by every search result.
Limitations
Fonts, device widths, query highlighting and search-engine rewriting vary. There is no guaranteed truncation threshold.
Frequently asked questions
Does this guarantee search visibility?
No. This tool reviews the supplied evidence. Search engines and AI systems make independent selection decisions.
Is my input stored?
Browser tools process locally. Server tools process the input; reports are saved only when requested. Connected AI and data tools send required input to their service providers.
